Untreated was created using etching and printmaking techniques. 

The process includes marking up (scratching and chiseling) a copper plate and letting it sit in an an acid bath, eating away at your markings. 

The idea behind this work was how we as humans often feel a pressure to bottle up all of our feelings. Over time the pressure of these emotions and thoughts can wear and tear the psyche and cause physical, emotional, and mental effects.
